Ohio Truck Driver Charged With Murder After Body of 36-Year-Old Indianapolis Woman Found in Semi Cab at Travel Center; Driver Told Investigators He May Be Responsible
PREBLE COUNTY, OHIO — A 38-year-old truck driver has been charged with murder after the body of a 36-year-old Indianapolis woman was found inside his semi-truck at a travel center near the Ohio-Indiana state line this week, with the suspect himself providing information to investigators suggesting he may be responsible for her death.
Shanae Robinson, 36, of Indianapolis, was identified by the Wayne County Coroner's Office on Friday. LaDavid Shaw, 38, was charged in Eaton Municipal Court with murder, tampering with evidence, and resisting arrest.

What Happened
Wayne County Sheriff's deputies initially responded Wednesday evening to what appeared to be a deadly crash near the Ohio-Indiana state line. During that interaction, the male subject provided information indicating he may be responsible for the death of a female passenger in his semi-truck. The case was subsequently transferred to Preble County.
"It was during that interaction with Wayne County and later our deputies, that the male subject had provided information that he may be responsible for the death of a female," said Preble County Sheriff Mike Simpson.
Investigators do not believe Robinson died as a result of the crash. An autopsy was conducted and detectives attended per protocol, with results pending.
Shaw was booked into the Preble County Jail. The case remains under investigation by both the Wayne County and Preble County Sheriff's Offices.
"Just the nature of that state line and everything in that northwest part of the county. So we worked well with them. Not really a state line when we're all working together," Simpson said.
