Texas 'Operation June Bug' Stops 132 Vehicles in Wichita County — 24 Detained for Immigration Violations, 15 Trucks Impounded, 109 Equipment Violations in One Day
WICHITA COUNTY, TEXAS — A single-day multi-agency commercial vehicle and immigration enforcement operation in Wichita County on June 25, 2026, resulted in 24 people detained for being unlawfully present in the United States, 15 truck and trailer combinations impounded, and 109 equipment violations issued.
Operation June Bug was a joint effort between the Wichita County Sheriff's Office, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Electra Police Department.
Results
132 total traffic stops. 93 commercial vehicle stops. 109 equipment violations issued by DPS. 15 truck and trailer combinations impounded. One cab impounded. 24 individuals detained for being unlawfully present in the United States.
WCSO said the 24 detained individuals were nationals from Mexico, India, Cuba, Algeria, Venezuela, Tajikistan, and Russia.
