Portion of 14 freeway closed for “unknown duration” due to big rig crash

A portion of the 14 Freeway in California has been closed for an “unknown duration” for cleanup and investigation of a one-rig semi truck crash.
The accident happened on December 28th at around 7:50 a.m. near Santa Clarita, California.
According to Hometown Station News, a semi truck hauling double trailers crashed into a center divider on the northbound 14 Freeway near Soledad Canyon Road.
The driver was injured in the accident, but the extent of his injuries is not known.
All lanes of the 14 Freeway were blocked temporarily for cleanup.
As of 1: 15 p.m., backups along 14 southbound were still extensive. Travelers are advised to avoid the area as crews work to clear the wreckage for an “unknown duration.”
