The Ohio Turnpike has been reopened after an incident involving a semi truck burning on either shoulder of the interstate.

The fires started on Wednesday night, but the Turnpike was not reopened until early on Thursday morning, April 28th.

According to Fox 8 News, troopers arrived at the scene on Interstate 80 near Murray Ridge Road in Lorain County, Ohio to find two semi trucks engulfed in flames. Investigators say that one of the trucks was hauling a resin solution or glue that sped up the spread of fire near an overpass.

All eastbound lanes were closed and only one westbound lane was open from the I-90 Lorain Exit (Exit 142) to the State Route 58 Amherst Exit (Exit 140) while crews worked to quench the fires.

No injuries were reported. Investigators are still working to determine how each of the semi trucks caught fire.
