One person seriously hurt after semi truck with six people inside cab wrecked Tuesday night.

The accident happened on March 12th at around 9 p.m. along Interstate 10 in Scott, Louisiana.

According to KADN News 15, a crash involving two tractor trailers caused a flatbed hauling pipes to flip and lane upside down partially on the grassy shoulder. A second truck hauling hydrogen gas was also involved in the incident.

The flatbed semi truck scattered its load of pipes when it overturned, blocking the roadway. The accident seriously injured one of the six total people inside of the truck cab. The five others sustained non life-threatening injuries. The driver inside of the second semi truck was not hurt.

Crews used a drone to fly over the crash site and determined that the extremely flammable hydrogen gas was not leaking and had not caused a fire. The hydrogen truck was then loaded onto another rig and hauled away while crews worked to clean up the pipes scattered across the roadway.

The interstate was completely cleared by 5 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13th. Police are still working to determine the cause of the crash.
