According to a WARN Notice filed with the Idaho Department of Labor on March 8, 2024, Texas-headquartered manufacturer Big Tex Trailers will shutter their plant located at 312 W. Simplot Boulevard in Caldwell, Idaho.

The plant closure is expected to take place by May 11, 2024.

A total of 127 workers are expected to be laid off as a result of the plant closure.

The Caldwell plant has been open since 2009, according to Boise Dev.

Big Tex Trailers manufactures car hauler trailers, dump trailers, utility and landscape trailers, and flatbed goosenecks and deck-overs.
