CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — State Route 332 between Thomas Road and Airport Road in the Town of Canandaigua has reopened after a crash involving two commercial trucks temporarily shut down southbound traffic Friday morning.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred when Oleh Dutchak, driving a Freightliner tractor trailer, was stopped at a red light on State Route 332. Kevin Widzinski, operating a 2015 Freightliner truck, failed to stop in time and struck the rear of Dutchak’s vehicle.

Deputies said Widzinski was issued a traffic ticket for following too closely. No injuries were reported.

Both vehicles were removed from the scene by Farmington Service, and the New York State Police Commercial Vehicle Unit is conducting further inspections off-site.
