Traffic came to a halt in Goodlettsville on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 3, 2025, after a tractor-trailer overturned beneath Interstate 65, scattering debris and blocking a major roadway.

According to officials from the Tennessee Department of Transportation, the crash occurred on southbound US 31W, directly under I-65. The trailer was reportedly hauling cargo that included a vehicle when it struck the bridge, flipped over, and dumped a large amount of scrap metal onto the road.

Crews responded quickly, but the cleanup caused significant delays. The City of Goodlettsville confirmed that all lanes of I-65 remained open during the operation, but US 31W was fully closed in the southbound direction.

As of 5:00 p.m., the cleanup was still underway and the road remained closed. No injuries have been confirmed, and no further details have been released by authorities.
