Multi-Day Police Chase Across Metro Detroit Ends in Arrest at Eastern Market

A police pursuit spanning several days and multiple Metro Detroit cities culminated in an arrest on Monday afternoon. The chase began Saturday in Dearborn when the suspect, driving a semi-truck, allegedly broke into an ex-partner’s home. After striking a police cruiser, he fled, prompting a chase through over a dozen cities that was halted for safety reasons.
On Sunday, the semi was spotted again, leading to another pursuit through Warren, Garden City, Westland, and other areas, which was also called off. Finally, around 2 p.m. Monday, authorities located the suspect at Eastern Market in Detroit, near Market Street and Winder, and apprehended him without incident.
Local businesses, mostly closed on Mondays, witnessed the arrest, while social media videos offered conflicting accounts of the events leading up to it. No injuries were reported.
