OPA-LOCKA, Fla. — Emergency crews responded to a tractor-trailer fire at a truck yard in Opa-locka on Sunday afternoon, where firefighters quickly extinguished the flames and contained a hazardous fuel spill, officials said.
According to WSVN, the blaze broke out near Northwest 132nd Street and 42nd Avenue, with video from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue showing the vehicle fully engulfed in flames, according to WSVN. Hazmat crews were deployed to contain leaking fuel and prevent further environmental damage.
Firefighters managed to bring the fire under control within minutes, and no injuries were reported, CBS Miami confirmed. The coordinated response of fire and hazmat teams ensured the area was made safe and the spill fully contained.
