MIAMI COUNTY, Ohio — A semi-truck driver reportedly fell asleep behind the wheel early Tuesday morning, crashing into two vehicles on northbound Interstate 75 near State Route 571.

The crash happened around 5:39 a.m. when the semi struck a disabled vehicle under the overpass before continuing north toward the on-ramp. The driver then swerved onto the ramp and collided with another semi parked on the shoulder, according to a responding Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper.

According to WHIO, no injuries were reported at the scene, though both trucks sustained damage.

Authorities temporarily restricted traffic in the area while clearing the vehicles and assessing the scene. The investigation remains ongoing.
