Two killed after four semitrucks, multiple vehicles crash on 10 Freeway in Ontario
ONTARIO, California — Two people were killed and two others seriously injured Tuesday afternoon in a violent crash involving as many as eight vehicles, including four semitrucks, on the westbound 10 Freeway.
The collision happened just east of the 15 Freeway shortly before 1:15 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash caused multiple lane closures and brought traffic to a complete standstill in the area.
According to ABC7, two victims died at the scene, while two others were transported to nearby hospitals with major injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by CHP, which has not yet released details on what led to the chain reaction involving the semitrucks and passenger vehicles.
