Semi-truck overturns on Corpus Road, spilling grapes
BAKERSFIELD, California — A semi-truck hauling grapes overturned Monday morning on Corpus Road near Interstate 5, spilling its load and causing significant traffic delays, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported around 11:33 a.m. on October 27, 2025. CHP officials said the truck, which was pulling two trailers, jackknifed and tipped over, covering both the eastbound and westbound lanes of the roadway.
According to KBAK/KBFX, the trailers were carrying grapes, which scattered across the road following the crash. It was not immediately clear whether the driver was injured.

Crews responded to clean up the spilled cargo and clear the overturned trailer. Drivers in the area were advised to expect delays until the scene was fully cleared.
