ATLANTA, Ga. — A concrete truck driver died Wednesday morning after his vehicle went off an embankment on Marietta Boulevard, according to Atlanta police.

The crash happened just before 7:15 a.m. near a Regions Bank in the 2200 block of Marietta Blvd. Investigators said the truck was traveling north when it suddenly veered off the road, struck an electric pole, crossed a divider, and rolled onto its side down an embankment.

Emergency crews pulled the driver from the wreckage and rushed him to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. His identity has not yet been released.

Photos from the scene show the overturned truck and a nearby concrete wall with significant damage. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
