Police searching for suspect who broke into semi and assaulted sleeping truck driver
MONTROSE, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police are searching for a man who allegedly broke into a truck and assaulted the driver while he was asleep at a gas station parking lot in Susquehanna County over the weekend.
According to WBNG, the attack occurred around November 9 at a gas station located at 618 Crossley Road in Montrose. Police said the suspect broke the driver’s side window of the tractor-trailer to gain entry and then assaulted the sleeping trucker, causing minor injuries.
After the attack, the suspect fled the scene in a grey Dodge Ram crew cab pickup. Troopers later received reports of the same truck driving through fields along Post Pond Road in Bridgewater Township, about a mile east of Route 167, before disappearing from the area.
Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Gibson state police barracks at 570-465-3154.
