Tractor-trailer splits in half during delivery attempt, shutting down Cedar Lane in Monsey

MONSEY, NEW YORK — A tractor-trailer broke apart Tuesday night while attempting to make a delivery on Cedar Lane in Monsey, leaving the rig split in half and completely blocking the roadway, according to a report.

The incident occurred on Tuesday night, Dec. 30, on Cedar Lane, where the tractor-trailer split in half while trying to drop off a load. As a result, Cedar Lane was closed between Blauvelt Road and Crown Road as crews worked to clear the scene.

Responders from Chaverim of Rockland and the Ramapo Police Department were on scene assisting with traffic control and cleanup efforts.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes while the roadway remained closed.

The response and cleanup efforts remained ongoing.
