Metal Sheets Penetrate Semi Cab After Load Shift on I-90 to I-405 Ramp in Bellevue
BELLEVUE, WASHINGTON — A truck driver escaped without injury after a load shift caused metal sheets to penetrate the back of a semi-truck’s cab on a freeway ramp in the Bellevue area, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Washington State Patrol troopers responded on Jan. 12, 2026, to the connection from I-90 westbound to I-405 for a crash involving a commercial semi hauling an oversized load of metal sheets.
WSP District 2 Public Information Officer Rick Johnson said the load shifted and “ended up penetrating the cab.”

Officials said no injuries were reported. A wrecker was called to help clear the truck from the scene.
Troopers did not release details on what caused the load to shift. The incident remains under investigation.
