The aftermath of a nine vehicle crash was captured on a responding officer’s body cam, revealing the officer’s calm, collected response as he helps the motorists involved.

In the video, the officer arrives at the scene of the crash that occurred in Alachua, Florida on Monday, March 7th along northbound Interstate 75 to find a flaming semi truck and a woman trapped in a sedan.

The officer promptly breaks the car window and pulls the woman out to safety. A man involved in the incident then tells the officer that he captured the wreck on his dash cam, and offers the evidence to the officer, who says that Florida Highway Patrol will need the footage before carrying on his way to tend to the rest of the wrecked vehicles.

The officer then checks on a man with an apparent head injury, a woman and her three children – all apparently unharmed – and another man with an apparent leg injury sitting in his car behind a jackknifed pickup hauling a trailer full of lawn equipment.

The officer then instructs everyone to move away from the scene due to spilled diesel in the area, and even tries to comfort the three young children involved in the wreck by offering to let them meet his K-9 sitting back in his patrol vehicle.

A total of nine vehicles were involved in the wreck, the cause of which has not been released. Eight people were transported to the hospital, but all are expected to make a full recovery, reported WESH
