Tractor-Trailer Hauling Scrap Overturns in St. Tammany Parish, Passenger Vehicle Involved

ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. — A tractor-trailer hauling scrap overturned Wednesday morning in the Pearl River area of St. Tammany Parish, also involving a passenger vehicle, according to local fire officials.
The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. on Highway 1090 near Nelson Road, the St. Tammany Parish Fire Protection District No. 11 reported. Emergency crews had to extricate the driver of the passenger vehicle, who was transported to a Northshore hospital for evaluation.
A-1 Wrecker Pearl River responded to clear the wreckage, while the Pearl River Police Department managed traffic to keep vehicles away from the crash site.
According to WGNO, no further details about the cause of the crash or additional injuries have been released.
